Camel Care — Privacy Policy

Camel Care is a hydration reminder extension that is 100% private and 100% offline. It does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device. This page explains exactly what that means.

What Camel Care stores — locally only

To do its job, Camel Care keeps a small amount of data in your browser's local extension storage, on your device:

Your settings — daily goal (glasses or liters), glass size, and active hours
Your daily progress — how many glasses you've logged today
Reminder state — when the camel should visit next

This data never leaves your browser. It is not synced to any server, not linked to any identity, and not accessible to anyone but you.

What Camel Care does NOT do

No accounts — there is nothing to sign up for
No analytics or telemetry of any kind
No cookies and no tracking
No third-party scripts or services
No network requests at all — the extension works fully offline; even the camel is hand-drawn SVG bundled inside the extension, not a downloaded image

Permissions

The extension requests only the permissions it needs to function:

Storage — to save your settings and progress locally on your device
Alarms — to schedule reminders at the times you configure
Access to web pages — solely to display the walking camel reminder on the page you're viewing. Camel Care does not read, collect, or transmit the content of any page.

Data sharing

None. Since no data is ever collected or transmitted, there is nothing to share with anyone — not with us, not with advertisers, not with any third party.

Data retention and deletion

Your settings and progress exist only in your browser's local storage. Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes all of it.

Children's privacy

Camel Care collects no data from anyone, including children. It is safe for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that needs new permissions), the updated policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
